A Film Conversation with SORCERY

The Latinx House hosts a conversation with the team behind 2023 World Cinema Dramatic Competition feature SORCERY – director and screenwriter Christopher Murray, producer Rocío Jadue, and actor Valentina Véliz for a panel moderated by director and Adelante Directors Fellow Nicole Mejia. SORCERY tells the 19th-century story of an Indigenous girl named Rosa who sets out for justice for her father by seeking help from the king of a powerful organization of sorcerers. The evening will begin with a reception, followed by a special performance by comedian Aida Rodriguez at 9:00 pm. The Latinx House Party, DJ’d by Ana Calderon, will follow.
