ACTIVATIONS

Activations are the way we bring the community together, making space for our culture, power, and truth through celebrations and collaborations.

RAIZADO FESTIVAL

Raizado is a multi-day festival in Aspen, Colorado, featuring panels, masterclasses, entertainment, food, beverages, and networking opportunities. It’s where we come together to celebrate our Latinx roots, culture, power, and truth.

SUNDANCE

As Official Partners of Sundance Film Festival, we’ve offered a dynamic series of programming, including panels, receptions, parties, and flash talks addressing relevant issues like representation, climate change, and banned books.

SXSW

In 2022, we joined SXSW with an electrifying lineup including inspiring speakers, spirited musical performances and one-of-a-kind art. We also held the Latina Power Pipeline Panel, where our co-founder Mónica Ramírez and award-winning directors Elaine Del Valle, Mía Maestro, and Iliana Sosa, discussed solutions to Hollywood’s Latine diversity problem, and what they’re each doing to address it in their respective careers.

Oscars Unity Party

As a collaborative effort with sister organizations like The Black House, Gold House, Hispanic Heritage Foundation, Harness, IllumiNative and the NAACP, we hosted a Red Carpet and Viewing Party for the 96th Academy Awards, at NeueHouse in Los Ángles.

The goal was to stand together in driving change in the film industry, focusing on representation and inclusion, while celebrating the historic nomination of Native, Black, LGBTQIA+ and Latinx actors, like Lily Gladstone and Colman Domingo.

ELEFANTA

“Elefanta, Que Ninguna Se Quede Balanceándose Sola”is an animated short created by The Latinx House.

Inspired by a Latin American nursery song, the short focuses on the idea of building community, collaborating and raising each other up. Like the elephants in the nursery rhyme, when one Latinx person holds power, they should help another Latinx. For our comunidad to level up, we must support and lift each other up.

Twelve Latina actresses lend their voices to bring this animation to life. This NEW Reggaeton adaptation of the beloved classic is sung by the Latinx artists Michelle Rodríguez, Mare Advertencia, and Charly Gynn, and produced by Tayhana and Kevin Da Silva.
