What is
THE LATINX HOUSE?

ABOUT US

The Latinx House is a space that celebrates and supports Latinx excellence in film and entertainment. We bring together artists, creators, and thought leaders to address issues impacting the Latinx community, and reflect them in our content. Our goal is to ensure Latinx voices and perspectives are part of the cultural narrative.

By promoting and supporting our content creators, we’re claiming our seat at the table, shifting the narrative around the Latinx community.

    History & Mission

Co-founders Mónica Ramírez, Olga Segura, and Alex Kondracke were inspired to create a space for the Latinx community to be present in places of consequence, and the result is the first Latinx initiativeto become an official associate partner with the Sundance Institute. The Latinx House made its first appearance in 2020 at Sundance Film Festival.

Our ultimate goal in creating the Latinx House is to change the perception and position of the Latinx community, with the belief that sparking conversation and igniting action in culturally relevant places will help us get there. To accomplish this mission, The Latinx House has brought artists, organizers, thought leaders, and other supporters together, to address issues that impact the Latinx community and create narratives that shift culture.
